The Community Health Development team serves Maricopa County residents by implementing several community health constructs, including the development of Community Health Worker (CHW) training curriculums, community health capacity building, and technical assistance to community-based organizations focused on population health.
The team's work focuses on the following areas:
Manages the Ryan White, Ending the HIV Epidemic-Part A Community Health Working Training Program.
Partners with organizations that utilize CHWs to implement self-management programs and promote health education in underserved communities.
Provides technical support to community-based programs working on expanding the CHW model within Maricopa County.
Supports community-based organizations in strengthening their internal management and identifying opportunities to improve their communities through grants and cross-collaboration with government and non-governmental agencies.
