Each year the Maricopa County Department of Emergency Management conducts a Community Preparedness Survey to see how prepared our residents are when disaster strikes, and to be sure we're able to convey timely messaging to the public in times of crisis. In 2016, we received 7,100 responses, and overall community preparedness was around 60%. This year we're hoping to reach an unprecedented number of respondents, and would love to see that community preparedness has also increased.
This survey will be open from now until May 31st. Once the survey has ended, we'll compile the results and make them available on our website and social media sites. We’ll then use these results to better determine how we can promote our message of personal, family and community preparedness. There are only 20 questions in this survey, and it should take no longer than about 10 minutes to complete. When you’re finished, please share the survey link with a family member, friend or co-worker to help us reach more people than ever.
Thank you, and remember, community preparedness begins with you!
