Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC) is happy to announce that effective Monday, December 13, our East Shelter, located at 2630 W. Rio Salado Parkway in Mesa, will return to full operations. Adoptions, volunteer and foster opportunities, lost and found services, stray intakes, and licensing will all be available.
Business hours are also expanding and will now be the same at both the East and West shelter locations: 11 am to 6 pm Monday – Friday, and 11 am to 5 pm Saturday – Sunday.
Looking to adopt?
Both shelters are currently hosting the BISSELL Pet Foundation “Empty the Shelters Holiday Hope Event” from December 6 – 20 with sponsored adoption fees to help get pets out of the shelter and into their new homes in time for the holidays.
“Our staff and shelter pets are looking forward to seeing you back at our East location soon. Thank you for your ongoing commitment to help homeless pets in our community!” said Molly Judd, East Shelter Manager.
The East Shelter is pleased to be able to offer animal control services to the East Valley once again. With the sponsored adoption special, this is the perfect time to come out and adopt your new family member.
