Phoenix – The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors seeks applicants for appointment to the position of Moon Valley Justice Precinct Constable. Constable Carl Seel resigned the position as of May 4th, 2022.
Constables execute, serve, and return processes, warrants and notices; and attend justice courts when required. The vacancy will be filled by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. By law, the appointee must be a Republican, like Seel, live in the Moon Valley Precinct, and be a registered Arizona voter. The appointee will fill the position through the remainder of the term which runs through December 2024.
The Moon Valley Precinct encompasses much of North Phoenix. You can see full precinct boundaries here.
Applicants should send their letters of interest along with a resume to the Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, 301 W. Jefferson, 10th Floor, Phoenix, AZ 85003 or email it to ClerkBoard@maricopa.gov. Applications will be accepted through July 27th, 2022 at 5 pm.
All documents, including applications filed with the Clerk’s Office, will become public records. Applicants are subject to a background check.
