January is a busy month for the Northern Parkway project. Construction is set to begin between Dysart Road and 111th Avenue. And your input will be sought at a public meeting where the Northern Parkway partners* and project team will share proposed future roadway improvements to Northern Avenue between 99th Avenue and Grand Avenue.
Construction to begin on Northern Parkway between Dysart Road and 111th Avenue on January 7
Crews will begin the construction of Northern Parkway between Dysart Road and 111th Avenue on Monday, January 7.
This phase of the project will construct the frontage roads for the future Northern Parkway Project between Dysart Road and El Mirage Road. This will widen Northern Avenue to become two lanes in each direction. Crews will also install traffic signals at the frontage road intersections of Dysart Road and El Mirage Road as well as a drainage basin south east of the intersection at El Mirage Road. A new traffic signal will be installed at the 115th Avenue alignment. Additionally, crews will construct a four-lane bridge over the Agua Fria River.
Businesses are open! Business access will be maintained throughout the construction process.
Please obey traffic control signs and watch for lane restrictions. In addition, give yourself extra time to get where you are going as there may be traffic delays. We appreciate your patience during construction.
Public Open House: Northern Parkway: 99th Avenue to Grand Avenue and 83rd Avenue: Northern Avenue to Butler Avenue
The Northern Parkway partners* invite you to attend a public open house on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Raymond S. Kellis High School located at 8990 W Orangewood Ave in Glendale. Attendees will learn about proposed future roadway improvements to Northern Avenue between 99th Avenue and Grand Avenue.Information presented will include potential improvements at the Loop 101 interchange area as well as the intersections at 83rd Avenue, 75th Avenue, 67th Avenue and Grand Avenue.
In addition, the Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) and the City of Peoria will present information about potential widening of the roadway on 83rd Avenue between Northern Avenue and Butler Drive.
