Texas A&M training health students to respond to opioid overdoses

Texas A&M University is taking a pro-active approach and training all their health science students to administer Naloxone which reverses the effects of an opioid overdose. This will start in the Spring of 2019 and will be the first university to do this.

This is a sad story of a young child with severe mental health problems and the only solution for the family was to give him back to the state (he was adopted) in order to pay for the residential treatment they were recommending.
